ideal location fitting decor good beer loud noise cold room stone floor
The location proved ideal for exploring, very close to the minster. I found the room decor quite fitting with the building's history. It was lovely. The beer selection was good.
My room was close to the beer garden, and it was quite noisy until 11 pm. The room felt cold, as the heating wasn't working, and the floor was stone. It was also a dark room. There was just one window.

i loved the historical touches! each room has a conspirator's name and related artwork. the staff are lovely! my server were really nice by giving me two plasters for a blister on my foot, there was so much walking! the bed was very comfortable, and the shower was excellent.
The room had only two lightbulbs working. It was difficult to see and get ready. it would be better with more illumination.

Underwhelming stay despite the location

hot water lack of concern
The shower did not work well. The temperature control was stuck. It only dispensed very hot water. Reporting this to the reception the following morning yielded no response. I found the staff's lack of concern quite disappointing. there was scaffolding outside reducing the view.
